Ted has been thinking about less technical-sounding alternatives to the
word "transclusion" for some time, and has recently coined the word
"hypershare" as a proposed replacement. This has the advantage of
making the close ties between hyperlinks and hypershares more apparent.

Hypershares are connections between manifestations (instances) of
identical material in different contexts, and can be implemented as a
type of hyperlink. Hyperlinks are connections between different but
somehow related material and interestingly can also be implemented
efficiently as a type of hypershare, as in the original Xanadu server!
