OKAY! Never mind! Style sheets were enabled (something I don't normally do, but I just upgraded to Mac IE 514 and it installed itself selected). Now that they are DISabled, all is well... Sorry for the rub...
It's black text on a white background. I've never seen the colours you're getting. Have you checked your browser settings or tried another browser? What are you using?
