Weekly Planning Meeting, 12/18

Highlights 12/18:

The big congratulations this week go to rob and joel. Rob
has scheran fully interconnected to a remote server across
the lan; as a consequence, the Montage team is back to
believing that this Xanadu thing might be usable some day
:-)  And joel's  negotiations with Key Logic have born
full fruit: we have a licensing agreement that we can both
live with. Now Montage can incorporate facilities that
allow end users to certify the trustworthiness of software
they receive, which I believe will give us a fascinating
marketing edge as we enter the Decade of the Computer
Virus.

Congratulations also go to paul, markm, and chris. Paul
completed lightweight objects in moose. Chris updated the
latest alpha to use attributes throughout, which will
allow us to...uh...how embarassing: I can't tell you what
this means because I don't really know myself (can someone
tell me more about this at the next meeting? :-). And
markm finished the attributes work that chris proliferated
throughout the server. 

I feel obligated to congratulate rick as well; once again,
he has put aside the fun coding tasks and done  management
stuff, like talking to tech pubs to make sure they will be
in gear to support Montage when the time is right.

A major oddity will take place in our next Tuesday
planning meeting: the Tuesday meeting will take place on
Thursday. Thursday, January 3, to be precise.
