Highlights 11/20:
The big congratulations this week go to hill, michael, and
markm. Michael completed a vast array of tasks associated
with writing to disk; indeed, he surpassed dean's previous
record in breaking down tasks into sub-subtasks small
enough to see what's going on :-) Mr. hill completed a new
alpha, good enough to hand to rick and the Montage team to
see if it would fly; it, uh, wasn't quite good enough, but
I was still delighted to see something good enough to TRY
:-)
And markm documented over 150 methods and classes, on
schedule and under budget :-) This makes the first round
of documentation about 10% complete.
Congratulations also go to ravi, roger, roland, and rick.
Roland completed a host of stubble enhancement tasks
needed for the disk-writing process, as well as a new
comment extractor for the documentation effort. Roger
built the Open Look button panel for Tapestry (though I
guess it's not quite integrated in yet :-) Rick has
engaged another critical management task, getting QA and
documentation people on-line for Montage. Meanwhile ravi
compiled everything under MS-DOS, with the Zortech C++
compiler. It won't link yet, but this still brings us an
astonishingly large step closer to a DOS version of Xanadu.
A big welcome goes to Dan Reuben (did I get that right?),
the newest member of the Montage team. A big condolences
also goes to Dan; he is in the midst of his first fevered
encounter with xanashock. Don't worry, Dan, it'll get
better. Of course, it won't ever quite go away
(hmmm...that's the way it is with malaria, too, isn't it?
:-)
Happy Thanksgiving, Everybody!
