Sorry it took me so long to get this one out.

Highlights 10/09:

This week, the big congratulations go to dean and markm. Dean 
has canopies garbage collecting; this is the last piece under 
the major milestone "bert and stamp reclamation", which is now 
complete (at least for the moment :-) Markm has the permissions 
system compiling and linking under C++.

Congratulations also go to hugh, who among other things made 
selection work smoothly in Tapestry, and improved the performance 
of the text display by more than 20%.

And a special thanks goes to paul, who extracted a copy of the 
Beta version of Sun's C++ DBX from Sun, which may be useful to 
everyone working with Xanadu.
