Highlights 7/24:

The big congratulations this week go to roland and dean. Roland 
has run xlint across all of xanadu Alpha 6, a test that would 
be sure to break xlint if it was breakable :-)  Dean has completed 
the software that reads and writes to ent to snarfs and virtual 
disks, which brings us a big step closer to writing Xanadu data 
to real disks. 

Congratulations also go to roger, who has fonts working in dervish, 
which brings him much closer to having fonts working in  Tapestry.

Condolences this week go to hugh, who has encountered another 
intractable problem in the Mac development environment, this 
time with the compiler. Fortunately we are not wasting hardly 
any time on the problem--we have alerted Apple, and meanwhile 
Hugh has moved on to writing system-independent parts of the 
frontend.
