Actually, extrinsic names don't need to be named,
no documents NEED to be named.  If a document isn't
named the fe is free to construct a name, the current
default display name is the first 50 characters of
the document.  There is no need to store this stupid
display name, because it or something better can be
constructed on the fly.  This leaves a fe with a better
default name mechanism free to put a better name on 
it.  When someone actually writes a real name, this can
be stored, but the default name need'nt, and shouldn't
be stored.
