The reason I believe docs&links requires the most work is the
trivial one.  It doesn't requre much work, but the others
require almost none.  Subsystems should be kept simple.
Stdio & trancievers are very simple.  The EVERYTHING interface
is (would be) completely automatic.  

I'll leave it to someone else to justify the tranciever level
documentation, perhaps John could spare a few words on this, since
his experience with xanadu was at that level.
