Sun/Mac Interoperation

Roger responded about linking to data accessed outside of xanadu.  To
link between data from two different xanadu applications, we just need
to represent hanging links in the backend.  At low priority,
applications could write out there half of a hanging link whenever it
gets made (just the end description associated with some name
information).  Other applications have a sensor looking for such
things so that their list of hanging links gets updated.
