Taking a moment to be more optimistic, let us say the following about
Xanadu's impact on mankind's future: yes, Xanadu will add complexity,
but only in comparison with the "perfect" system. In comparison with
having a dozen KMS-like products arise, which is the alternative
to a Xanadu success setting the de facto standard, we are introducing 
simplification. This is a reason for us to hurry to market with something
just barely good enough to be wonderful, because the alternative is so
REALLY bad.
