Weekly Planning Meeting, 8/28

Highlights 8/28:

The big congratulations this week go to andy, hill, dean, chris, 
and rick. Andy has ported the elk scheme interpreter to run under 
OS/2, making it possible for Montage to run under OS/2 as it 
is developed. Hill and dean doubleteamed and completed the task 
of writing the grandhash out to snarfs; now as soon as snarfs 
write to disk, the grandhash will go along with the ent. Chris 
has completed the changes that shrink the size of our source 
files. Meanwhile rick has a semiautomatic net untangler working 
in Montage, so that the map of hypertext documents in Montage 
can be made readable as you go along--it sounds fascinating, 
and I look forward to seeing it soon.

Congratulations also go to michael and ravi. Michael has the 
count of snarf streams and the bogus snarf packer working: these 
are steps on the way to writing to disk. And ravi has variants 
displaying in the link pane--another one of the things that no 
one else in the world can do.

I'd like to remind all the programmers of a current task for 
everyone to engage: inspect the current regression test outputs 
and see which ones are correct, and which ones show broken code.
