Universal Modelling Language. Presently much beloved by software design
instructors, this is a diagramming convention that evolved as a merging
of several schools of design including for example Booch.

That's not true at all. I believe that Ted has a burning desire to learn
as much as possible about the inner workings of computer systems, but
he understandably has plenty of his own ideas to work on and a limited
amount of time to spend learning the vast amounts of interrelated
information which makes up the field of existing computer science.

One of the things that makes Ted's work interesting and special is that
it often comes right out of left field because he hasn't bothered to
learn that something "can't be done", or "has always been done this way".
Of course sometimes this can make it tricky to integrate Ted's ideas with
existing systems that people are already using and are accustomed to!
But I'll leave it to him to make any further comments himself.
